in mid-July and attracts visitors and tourists

This is held towards
the end of August and attracts people from a wide
area . It is primarily a livestock show and
features riding competitions and pulling contests
with oxen and huge draught horses. For

Just outside Bear River village
is the First Nation (Mi'kmaq Indian) reservation.
This holds its own cultural events, including
hands-on workshops, a medicine trail, historical
re-enactments and dramas and traditional
performing arts. It will shortly have its own
